Visit of the ICDM2014 in Shenzhen

Currently, the ICDM2014 (International Conference on Data Mining) in Shenzhen, China, is taking place. And as our paper "Software Process Simulation based on Mining Software Repositories" by Verena Honsel, Daniel Honsel, and Jens Grabowski has been accepted for this conference, Verena Honsel is currently in China for attending the conference. We wish her all the best for the presentation.

Presentations of indian guest researchers

On Tuesday, December 9th, 2014 at 11:00 o'clock, our two indian guest researchers, Vikas Panthi and Subhrakanta Panda, will present the current state of their research and conclude a little about the results achieved during their stay. Vikas Panthi will talk about his work on model-based testing, Subhrakanta Panda will introduce his work on test case optimization and prioritization. The goal is to have an exchange with other PhD candiates of our group as well as other researchers and to get feedback about the work done. Furthermore, the focus of the their future work will be clarified.

Patrick Harms to visit C.N.R. in Pisa, Italy

After meeting each other at the 5th International Conference on Human-Centered Software Engineering 2014 in Paderborn, Fabio Paternò from the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (C.N.R.) in Pisa, Italy, and our group member Patrick Harms decided for a meeting to identify possible research collaborations. This meeting will take place at the 19th and 20th November in Pisa. Fabio Paternò is the leader of the Human Interfaces in Information Systems Laboratory at C.N.R. and a well known researcher in the context of task analysis and usability evaluations which perfectly fits the research area of Patrick.

Paper accepted for the International Journal On Advances in Intelligent Systems

Our paper "Extended Trace-based Task Tree Generation" has been accepted for publication in the International Journal On Advances in Intelligent Systems, volume 7 number 3&4 2014. The paper is an extended version of the paper "Trace-based Task Tree Generation" already published at the Seventh International Conference on Advances in Computer-Human Interactions. Presentation on Self-Assessment-Tests and preparative courses for the "Applied Computer Science" master programme

On October 28th, 2014, Michael Göttsche will give a presentation on Self-Assessment-Tests and preparative courses for the "Applied Computer Science" master programme. The goal is to present is work on this topics including what these tests and courses may look like. He will also give a short demonstration.

Data Science and Big Data Analytics to start on October 28th
