Abstract

Executing dynamic simulations in a distributed environment to save resources and time is a desired goal in research and industry. One example are multi-level-simulations. Here, specific parts of the sim- ulation can be observed on different levels of detail requiring different amounts of resources. Recent approaches allow to execute such simula- tion workflows in the cloud. However, they do not allow to describe how intermediate results should adjust the workflow. In this paper, we strive to extend these approaches by introducing workflow design time concepts and couple them with gathered runtime information in order to perform a parameter optimization on a multi-level-simulation.
